Gran Senyiur Hotel is a modern property with an outdoor pool and free Wi-Fi. It offers 5 dining options and elegant rooms with private bathrooms. A 10-minute drive from Balikpapan Plaza, the hotel provides free parking spaces on site.
Balikpapan Baru Mall is also a 10-minute drive from Gran Senyiur Hotel, while it takes 15 minutes to drive to Balikpapan Superblock E-Walk and Sepinggan International Airport from the property. Airport shuttle services are available at a charge.

Staff were generally pleasant. Rooms very big.
The check-in staff did not have a record of my payment in full for the rooms. I had to show them my email from booking.com without which they were insisting I pay again.

Prachtig groots opgezet hotel met ruime en comfortabele...
Prachtig groots opgezet hotel met ruime en comfortabele kamers. Motoren en oude auto’s als collector items in de lange en brede gangen. Veel chinees antiek. Er was een goede wifi. Vriendelijke staf. Een zeer uitgebreid en gevarieerd ontbijt.
We misten uitgebreide informatie over het hotel en de faciliteiten. Er waren geen badjassen. De ijskast/minibar was minimaal voorzien. Bij het zwembad stonden geen ligbedden. We hebben drie keer problemen met de kluis gehad totdat de draaischijf vervangen werd. De keycard heeft ook een paar keer geweigerd. Het wordt allemaal wel snel en vriendelijk opgelost, maar het gebouw is langzaam duidelijk gedateerd.

Lovely staff at what was clearly once a great hotel that is now in need of renovation.
Staff were lovely. Good location. Big rooms.
It feels pretty run down and in need of some major renovation. Has the feel of a hotel about to close down. Air conidtioning kept breaking. No hot water for 2 days while 'under maintenance'. Was offered a £5 discount on a £480 bill.

Nice and spacious room.
The staff was really unhelpful. It is the first we experienced something like that. And we travel a lot. They even weren't able to order taxi on time, which was supposed to take us to the airport. A lot of facilities within hotel were closed. The hotel pretends to be luxury, but with this kind of attitude of the staff and pretty weak english knowledge of most the staff, it is simply ridiculous. The prices in hotel restaurants are sky high especially taking into account the service quality. If you want to eat something, you would better go outside, e.g. Ocean's (very good seafood).
